With a couple short hops, Aniya perched beside Thorn. She watched as the shrike began gathering the sticks of her old nest. Aniya picked up some in her beak. One of the grass blades in her beak tickled against her cheek. Aniya shook her head to reposition the annoying blade away from her cheek. It continued to tickle her. Aniya rolled her eyes and just decided to ignore it. She was rather good at ignoring things. She focused her attention back on Thorn. Learning to build a proper nest was just was she needed right now. Aniya wasn't going to spend another night sitting on an uncomfortable platform-like nest like last night.

"Ghod! Good!" Thirn hopped from claw to claw, bobbing her head with excitement. "That's the way to do it!" The shrike backed away from the work in progress to see if Aniya could manage in her own.

Aniya tried weaving the grasses together but her clumsy claws kept destroying her progress. She cawed in frustration. "You do it! I'm terrible at weaving!"

The shrike hopped farther away. "Keep trying! Use your beak if you have too! I'm not your mother!" She screeched giddyily.

Siren soared low over the lush green canopy of the forest, gliding smoothly in the wind. Her feathers caught the light in different angles, drifting slowly from dark gold to light amber. She could navigate the dense forest well - she had a bird's eye view from where she was. Her sharp eyes scanned the treetops, and spotted two songbirds lingering about on the branches of a particular tree. She no intention of hurting them, but what really amused her was that the two different species of songbirds were building a nest together. Siren tucked in her wings, and swooped down towards them. She landed gracefully on another branch. "Hello," she said quietly, folding her glorious wings. "May I join you?" She knew the songbirds would not be too glad to have a bird of prey in their presence, but Siren did not mind company.
