Flame looked at the bird and flew away in shock that a songbird did that! He flew back to see if Aniya had woken up and when he saw she did he landed and watched. Flame wondered if she liked it but didn't dare to ask.

"You EAT meat?!?!" Aniya exclaimed in disgust after she had gotten over her shock. She ignored the return of Flame only gracing him with a glance.

He looked down at the ground thinking that she didn't like her nest. Flame flew over to her, "I am sorry,I hope you will forgive me. I made your nest for you." He said looking into her eyes and then back at the ground.

Aniya turned her gaze back to Flame. "You made the nest..." she said quietly and guiltily. She had pushed him away the whole night. He had tried to befriend her, be nice to her, but she had done nothing but scorn. "Thank you..." Not a phrase that usually left Aniya's beak.

Aniya rolled her eyes slightly. She still thought it unnatural for a falcon to love a songbird but whatever. "Enough of the sweet talk, " Aniya mumbled and turned the the brown songbird, "So why do you eat meat?"

Flame blushed and looked at the brown songbird "Yes, why?" He asked ruffling his feathers.

Thorn glared at the fiery pair. "Why do you eat grain?" She snapped in a high voice. Viciously she are another strip. Eyeing a grasshopper nearby she flew for it. Clutching in her beak she impaled it next to the snake. "It'd what we Shrikes do!"

A strike. Aniya's mother had told of the carnivorous songbirds. Aniya covered her head with her wings. "No need to yell!" she shouted back, "Both of you calm down. Strike eat meat, falcons eat meat, and songbirds eat berries, okay?!"

The shrikes high voice got higher. "I wasn't yelling you scavenger!" Her black eyes blazed. Then she turned to Aniya and said in a sifter voice, "not much of a smart one is he?" She snickered.

Aniya rolled her eyes again. "tell me about it," Aniya whispered to the Strike. "HE'S NOT, I'M NOT!!!" Aniya's anger blazed in reply to the Strike's lovebird comment.
