Aravind stopped for a moment to think before tweeting confidently "I don't know, I just want be swift hunter like you, so I can kill a raccoon!" Arav hopped along the branch excitedly, listening carefully to what the exotic colored bird had to teach him.

"Swift I can do. But even I cannot kill a raccoon....yet." Kyra leaped into the air, ashy grey talons pushing up from the branch and into the air. Her sharp blue wings cut through the air, keeping her afloat. Kyra chirped at Tiny. If he wanted to be fast, he had to start out flying.

A small smile cracked through Aravind's beak as he hopped up, leaping and quickly flapping his steely-blue wings, trying to keep up with the King fisher "I'm ready, miss Kyra!" Arav chirped confidently, His light blue-eyes glistering in the sun rays peeking through the thick cover of leaves.

"Okay. Before you ever try the water, you try air. So, do you see that acorn?" Sge pointed her talon diwn at a shriveled acorn clinging delicately to a branch that was dead and splintering. It would come off easily and was near the ground. Perfect. There was another one next to it, so that the two could practice. "Now watch closely, Tiny!" She immediately brought her wings into her sides and dropped like a stone, to angle her flight, she let out her wings slightly and she shot diagonally towards the branch. The ground zoomed up to meet her and she opened up her wings fully and stretched out her claws which clipped the nut clean off of the branch. In a split second, Kyra performed a flip and he lifted higher into the air, almost as fast as before. When she reached Tiny, her eyes were gleaming, adrenaline pumping through her as she tossed the acorn from one claw to another. "Your turn!" She tweeted cheerily and watched closely.

Aravind observed everything astonished, before noticing other acorn hanging from the same branch, Ar closed his wings and dived trying to replicate what the King fisher did, as Arav drew closer to the ground, he quickly spreaded his wings at the last moment giving him a strong propulsion, as Aravind got close to the acorn, he opened his beak and managed to catch it by the tip, turning direction brutally in mid-air, Ar spreaded his two-tipped tail like a chinese fan to give him more stability as he slowed down to show the acorn to Kyra. "Did I do right?" Aravind chirped trying to muffle his cheerfulness *Now is not the time to play, if I hunt like Ky, I'll never be "The tiny fly-catcher" again* Aravind thought to himself.

Kyra watched the blue bird preform, his larger wings actually aiding him, especially in his last movements. Her dark eyes glittered and she knew, someday he might get it right. But right there towards the end something went wrong. He hadnt pushed off with his talons like she had, the beak was inefficient for this mice, talons would aid him. He would never get out of the water like that, he would drown, his large wings dragging him down. Then again he might never actually hunt fish, though he needed to be good enough to able to. "You need to use your talons Aravind. Without that crucial move you would drown." She tossed her acorn back to the ground. "Try again, and-focus-" She said.

Aravind felt ashamed, he had never used his talons before , he released a sigh before tweeting "Ok, I'll try Kyra", Arav fixed his eyes in the acorn and dived, spreading his wings at the last moment as always, Ar sloppily stretched out his talons reaching for the acorn, almost letting it slip, Arav managed to get a hold onto the small rounded nut, using his large wings and double-tipped tail, Arav turned and quickly flapped back to Ky "W-well... I'm not used to using my talons. That's one of the reasons I want to be like you!" Aravind chirped.

Ky watched and tweeted sympathetically. She was no good at her first tries as well. When he finished she winced. Well, not nearly that bad. She was a king gusher, she had natural talent. Aravind was well, she didnt know....a songbird. He would get it eventually. "Well! Now at the end, your claw flicked out sloppily to the left, you need to hold it rigidly in front of you and snap your talons over the acorn and on your way up, tuck it under close to your feathers." Kyra instructed. If he wanted to be good, he would have to get it right, and praising a bad job would get him nowhere, so he got the truth. The plain truth.

Aravind tweeted in a confident and brave-ish tone "I'll try again then, until I'm strong enough to kill raccoon" Aravind noticed a small blood-red berry hanging from a slender branch in a small bush, Aravind focused in the berry and dived, opening his wings at the last moment, and grasping for the small object holding it closely to his belly and accidentally bringing some leaves in the process, Arav returned to Kyra and chuckled trying to light the mood a little bit "unintentional leaves are unintentional. Am I right?"

Kyra's wings were starting to tire so she spoke quickly. "Good! Good! Your getting better! Just need to work on the fluidity!" She chirped and glided down into the previous branch. Her claws punctured the rotting wood as she landed in her perch, multicolored, shiny feathers sleek as she smoothed them down. Just then her thoughts were interupted by none other than a..."SNAKE!!!" She screeched and immediately pushed off if the branch as the grey and green reptike's jaws snapped closed where she was just a moment before.

"A SNAKE? WHERE?" Aravind tweeted loudly and confused as he looked around nervous,his feathers fluffed up as a defense instinct, when he noticed that the big reptilian had almost caught Kyra, Ar's heart started beating faster, he felt the blood pump through his veins along with the adrenalin, he dropped the berry along with the leaves and almost literally threw himself at the branch Ky was standing on using his wings as a weight to dive faster, almost slipping off in the process, "Kyra, are you ok? Did it bite you?" He tweeted nervosly panting, still frightened by the sight of the big reptilians long fangs, snapping shut in the blink of an eye.

Kyra zipped around him, heart beating as tapidly as her narrow wings. Her normally wide eyes were stretched even wider. The spark of fear and thrill alight in them. The kingfisher watched as the silvery snake hissed menacingly one last tame before sliding into the water. Kyra watched, entranced by the dangerous beauty of the reptilian sleuth. It's grey/green scales overlapped gently, yet each scale by itself was as jagged as a hounds tooth. It's body was tubular and streamlined, its slick features slicing through the water, white its swift curving motions sent it over the top.

Kyra shook out her ruffled feathers and nudged Avarind. "Im fine, but we should go. It's getting dark and that's when the dangerous things come out." She chirped in almost a whisper and jetted on into the sky, flapping rapidly.

Aravind kept staring at the water for a while, to see if the animal had drowned or if it could drown for that matter, he quickly shook his head and started following Kyra, his wings and double-tipped tail were still slightly shivering from the shock of the sudden attack, *How can something be so beautiful and so vicious at the same time?* he thought for a moment as he sighted and kept following Kyra.

((Same here, I was wondering if we should go to the tropics, it seems like a really neat place for character development, I was also thinking about the plot... I've had some ideas for a while, but I didn't want to make the "first move" (like be the first person to ask for a plot XD)
