Mia flitted her way towards the hull of a shipwreck determinedly. Her blue wings visible for a few seconds in between each flap. She let a sudden breeze carry her weight for a moment before she slowed to place her feet on the wooden hull. The water made swishing sounds as it beat against the old frame. Mia chirped in delight.

Guin chirruped as he poked his head above the waves. His eyes gleaming. Many birds thought he was a fish. He laughed at that, small brained things. He spotted a tiny blue one the size if his dinner. She was cute, adorable.

A fish poked up out of the water nearby. Mia turned towards it the feathers on her head raising up in interest. She hopped down the rotting rail getting closer to the water. She stopped a few feet above the rolling waves. She made a face at the water, not being one much for swimming. Although the idea intrigued her. She had lost sight of the fish thing she had seen her icy blue gaze looked around to catch another glimpse.

The penguin slipped under the waves as the blue bird fluttered down. Guin looped past the reef and into a jagged hole in the ships deck. He quickly eased himself up onto the dry deck, he slid up to peer down at the bird from the deck. He clacked his beak in laughter.

Laughter startled Mia and she instantly took to the skies. Up in the air she circled the curious looking bird below. "How kind of you to wash up." She called dipping a little lower. She arced over his head and fluttered back to her perch on the rail. He didn't seem to be a threat. She tilted her head laying the feathers down to her neck.

Guin smiled. "We'll it seems you don't think I'm a fish." He chuckled. "I am a bird indeed. Though I can't fly in the air, I fly under the sea!" He leaped from the rails into the ocean, to emerge from the depths shining ebony.

Mia watched the poetic bird dive into the ocean. She chirped after him curiously. Mia took flight above him and watched his dark body glide though the water as she soared through the air above. She dove down just to catch the sea spray. "What's it like to swim?" She asked doing a barrel roll for fun.

Guin was extremely glad she had asked, sometimes it's nice to be listened to. "It's like gliding through something soft, and cool. It's wetness covers the outside but slides off when in the air. It's gentle touch caresses your fins like the silk touch of moonlight. The glassy clearness of something that's barely there. Knowing you are always cradled by something, knowing that you can always trust your fins to angle you to the surface. It's...home." He spouted on, closing his eyes as he poured out his indescribable live of the ocean. "The salty lasted of home in your moth, the colors of the other creatures you belong beside you, the harmony of life in one substance that isn't quite solid."

Mia's imagination took off as colors flashed in her inner mind. She let her flying instincts take over as she listened. The sea sounded wonderful. "If only I could swim." She murmured. But Mia was born to the skies. Her blue feathers taking after the color of a clear day. Her eyes looked like the pristine mist that shrouded the mountains. Their gaze traveled down and caught hold of the ones in the waves below. (That was pretty deep! )

"I heard that the sky is like the sea only lighter. What's it's like?" He rolled onto the back as the waves became smaller and gentler.

Mia thought about his question. "It's being part of a special force. It's letting the wind take you where it wants. Your feathers fluffing on the breeze as your wings carry you close to the heavens. Living in a force no one can truly tame and it's magnificent. All existing under pink dawns, blue days, and red dusks. Its going where you want when you want. The freedom to explore new and old places." She said. She tried to make her description as fruitful as his and she felt pretty satisfied. A stronger wind pressed under her and she let herself glide.

The penguin nodded and closed his eyes. "Sounds wonderful." He said in awe. Guin smiled as the surf washed over his feathers.

Mia glided down and sneakily landed on the penguins stomach whose he floated. She was using him as a raft and he was bigger than she was. Making it easy for her to rest and not send both of them under the waves. Mia wouldn't be able to swim, feathers didn't take to water well. "This is nice." She teased to the other.
