Name:Vale
Age:adult
Gender: Female
Breed: mourning dove
Eye Color: Black, which glistens green when it catches the light
Feather Color: Vale is a very muted greyish cream which darkens slightly on her wings. She has a tiny black mark on each cheek, and her tail feathers are white on the undersides. Her only unusual markings are on her flight feathers and tail, where each feather is tipped in a light grey where it would on any other mourning dove end in black.
Physical Build: Vale is a plump mourning dove with a slightly long neck that rather reminds one of a pidgeon, and her talons and toes are well formed. There isn't a scar on the hen and she is of a healthy weight for her kind, as usual for doves most of her muscle lies in her chest and she is broad-winged for tight turning. Her longish blue-tinged beak is designed for a diet of grains and soft growth.
Picture:
Personality: Vale is the chatty, brash sort of fellow that is too brave for her own good, determined and bold in a hawklike way unbecoming of her species but very aware of her own mortality. She lets her song ring loud and clear as well as any male would and it is a bit rushed in comparison to most of her species. Vale loves to play around and tempt fate, but feels deeply about endangering others and would be the last to wish harm on others. During the night and when she is tired she swings occasionally into a more melancholic attitude and she dwells on the events of the day, feeling deeply about every little detail. While she can sometimes be moody she is usually light-hearted and outgoing, willing just as well to sing flocking songs and make merry with falcons and eagles as with chickadees and robins so long as it is understood that neither party should harm the other while they are celebrating together. Vale has a taste for the art of creative nestmaking and arrangement, and appreciates beauty but does not dwell on such superficial and vain things when they are not immediately present.
History: Vale was hatched to doves, raised among weavers and good friend to a kingfisher with whom she has since parted ways. There's little else to say, and she does not like dwelling on the distant past.
