( kryll) Guin flopped down on the ground. The sky was clear and the starless sky was darkening. They needed to find shyer. No bird wanted to be outside in the dark night. He tilted his head to look for Mia. She ould be flying no doubt. The dusky brownish black penguin clacked his beak in a yawn.

Mia darted overhead she was deep in thoughts. Hearing Guin yawn made her stop and slow to a landing. She hopped around for a bit looking for anything that offered enough cover to sleep under. She didn't know about Guin but she had never spent a night on the ground in her life.

Guin spotted the small blue bird. "there is a tree over here, you can perch there. Meanwhile I'm curling up there." the sand penguin pointed a flipper over to a puddle near the tree that he had spoken of. He slipped into the puddle and rested his head on the dry stone next to the puddle. He enjoyed the feeling of the fresh water in his feathers.

'Ok, holler if you need anything." Mia said before soaring up to her branch with a good view of Guin on the ground. She stood on the branch for a moment and hopped out to then end where it swayed with the wind and her weight. Her tiny gray claws held on tight as she bounced with the branch before settling down. She stretched out a wing and combed the feathers before doing the same to the other. Nestling down she closed her eyes but left a small sliver open of one icy blue eye to check over Guin. Satisfied she closed it and fell asleep, the branch rocking with a gentle night sway.

Guin clacked his beak in agreement. The sand penguin looked out into the sky. There should be light. Stars to accompany the lonely moon. The sun had its clouds, the moon has nothing. It needed stars. Right then Guin took an oath. He took an oath to the moon bird. He would retrieve the stars if it were possible. Smiling with satisfaction his eyelids became heavy, slowly his dark eyes became slits, then closed completely, washing Guin into the dreamscape.

Mia woke up just a few minutes before the sun poked through the trees. She watched the dew on the lower branches fall and the ground. She blinked her blue eyes sleepily before.

Guin opened his eyes, enjoying the sun in his dewy feathers. The air was dry and his feathers were wet, just how he liked it. He stood and pouted as the dew slid off. He sighed. "How ya doing up ther Mia?"

Mia shook herself. Her feathers fluffing up and making her twice as big as she actually was. "Good." She chirped back. Enjoying the morning sun on her fluffy body until she settled the feathers down.

"Great! Er...where to next?" He asked, tilting his sleek head to the side. The black sand penguin waddled forward and plopped into his belly, ready to slide down the muddy mountainside.
