Wings covered Pap. She knew immediatly that they belonged to Leo. She felt warm and happy. She fell back into a deep sleep. Somehow, she knew her dream about her mom was a fake one. Her mother was dead, and Iron had loved her, no matter how much he had hated them. Her mind was maming things up, no matter, she would have to talk to her father sooner or later, he held the key. Iron would join her if it meant getting revenge on his wife's murderer. Mabey they could even be close. Pap shook her head. That was for another time. For now she was happily snuggling up in Lion's wing.
Pap knew that she and Leo were already quite close. She liked summing up her days, and telling herself a bedtime story and so that is what she did. I was taking a fly when I saw Leo, stuck in a cage. I went down to introduce myself to him and then helped him out of the cage by slamming a rock into it and then using my beak to help create a larger hole. Then, we went swimming and I caught a barge for dinner while we watched the sunset together while discussing our past. Next, we flew here. I collected bedding and then we fell asleep together. Pap thought.
She realized for a second that for the first time, she had made a true friend. She knew already that she would do whatever it took to help him get hid memories back, or at least create new ones with him. She realized that she must have been the first bird Leo had seen when he woke up after banging his head and loosing his memory. In all one day, both birds had accomplished so much. Turned to a new chapter in their books, lived a bit more. Enough with the tough thinking for now she thought. It was time for her story.
Normally, Pap took the story from her life and changed it into a happily ever after, but it didn't feel right anymore. She had a nagging at the back of her mind that she would find a happily ever after anyway, and that there was no need to come up with one and try to shape her future into it. Instead, the creative bird decided to come up with something original and entertaining.
One time, two friends, one girl, and one boy, were traveling together on the mountains. They loved each other, but were to afraid to admit it, in fact, they didn't even know it. One day, they came to a near death situation for the girl and both realized that they wanted to be together, and that they almost lost that chance. They ended up being happy, but not exactly with a happily ever after. They had their problems, but in the end, it came down to love.
Pap realized that that was even deeper than her thinking earlier, and that despite her efforts, it still connected and tied into her life somehow, she just wasn't sure how just yet. Something told her the future would tell that. Pap fell into a sound sleep. In the morning, Pap woke up only to realize that it was raining, and it looked heavy and long. That meant that the two birds would be confined to the den until tommorow. Luckely, there were mice to catch inside the cave, and material that could be used as a water carrier, they were prepared.
Pap slid out from under Leo's wing. "Good Morning Leo! Isn't today a... Well, I can't say beautiful as we most likely arn't going anywhere anytime soon, but isn't today a lovely day". The peopy bird sung to her companion. She looked around the cave for mice. "Do you want to hunt with me?"
