While writing my book I had an idea that maybe could be implemented on the roleplay, in my book, Rimmi (One of the secondary characters), has a talking falcon who she calls Azhar and he "works" as a mailbird or a courier, and I thought about asking the staff about making a NPC who could act as a courier, warning birds about incoming storms or allerting them that there is an oddly colored snake lurking around the lake and they should be careful, etc.
As for the wisdoms Maybe a "Crystal bones/feathers" wisdom where a bird would have extremely strong bones/talons/wings could be a nice addition, also the ability of a better perception where a character would know about the presence of other birds in a close range. A "smoke curtain" would be nice where a bird could control steam, vapor and smoke with his wings (Works similar to an ink "spit" like a squid)

I think that with the courier bird there should be more than one. A courier guild to be specific. This way a bird could be assigned to a single territory and report back to base and such.

Good point, maybe a "Winged brotherhood" could be implemented, where only fast and swift birds could enter

Yeah! And then those with the swift flight wisdom would be revered over the others and stuff!
Since the beginning of this site I have been wanting to have some sort of self appointed(or not) king or queen of starless islet. I don't know, I guess I thought it would be fun to have lords and ladies. And this courier idea just sparked this idea again. They could be the royal courier guild or whatever.

Maybe they could have some affiliation with Raphique, I mean, he is very wise and would know if there's an incoming storm or a new predator...Maybe Raphi could be in the royalty as a "king adviser" or something like that

Raphique would prefer to be alone, but I can see him grudgingly becoming a close aqyaintance to the royals. And if not the royals, a close ally with the brotherhood. But before we go in depth about this we should get an all clear from dogzrock

You are right, I can't picture Raphi as a "close friend" of the supposed "king", We also need Dogzrock to approve it so...We have a long way to go.

Hmm... So, a guild of couriers that warn the birds of incoming danger that would be somewhat considered royalty? This would work well into any future site-wide plots that are set into motion and the guild's leader could become the self-proclaimed leader of Starless Islet in one of those plots. I love the idea of guilds! Some kind of group that the birds can enter, then there's more choices. I think this Royal Courier Guild would be a great improvement. Let's see... How about I create a board under the Birds category for the guild? Maybe we could allow other guilds to also be created for different purposes or should the Courier Guild be the only one? What do you guys think?
As for the suggestions of new wisdoms, hmm... I'll think about it a bit, but I think we're on the right track for new wisdoms!

We were actually thinking that there could be a king or queen. Then the guilds would be under that monarchy.

I guess we could have member-made guilds (We should probably make it limited to: 1 guild = A group of at least 3 birds = 1 main objective), maybe a guild of thieves or scavengers along with a guild made of bounty hunters or "cops" maybe? As to the royalty, maybe we could have some kind of tournament between the birds, the swiftest, strongest and most intelligent bird shall rule, or maybe some kind of vote? Where all birds would reunite and vote for bird#1 or bird#2 Or, we could create a lore thread, were there was a king long ago and now the heir rules, maybe we could change the lore! As in example: "Aravind was the first song bird to kill a snake" and that would be added to the lore as an act of heroism! Sorry for the typos, I'm having some headache right now but I felt the need to respond

dogzrockShrikeHey, I've had another idea yesterday but didn't feel the need to make another thread about it... Maybe each bird category could have a special wisdom to that particular category: Song birds could have some kind of hypnotizing voice that could control other birds/player for 2 posts but wouldn't be able to use it again for the next 10 posts; Sea birds could have the hability of breathing underwater or even commanding smaller fish/crabs to attack (these little nibbles can hurt a lot); Game birds could have some kind of "super" speed/stamina so they could run longer distances without getting tired; Birds of prey could gain stronger and larger wings along with sturdier beaks and longer talons; Night birds could recieve an "eye of thundera" where they could observe more details then other birds and see farther away; Tropical birds could have a "Chameleon/octopus-ish power up" by blending their bright colors in the woods as a camouflage mechanism; Wading birds could have the power to walk over water instead of just wading around; Water birds could have dew around their feathers (kind of like frogs have slime around them), and these "dews" could be expelled as projectiles, not exactly to hurt, but to temporarely blind their opponent. Well, what do you guys think?

I love that idea! But maybe we could change it a bit. Like that wisdom would be the easiest to get or would be more powerful for that species.

Eeyup, it would be nice to add "ranks" for the wisdoms as well, as in wisdom rank: 1-Bird category 2-Any wisdom of choice 3-A power up to the bird category 4-A power up th the wisdom of choice
I'm not sure as to how to make the players/birds "level up" though, any ideas?

Maybe there could be like checkpoints scattered all over the isle. So you go through the maze to get your first wisdom, right? So to level up in a certain wisdom, you would go to the respective check point and go through some sort of test or trial.

Maybe the trial could involve an NPC? As in, a bird(npc) or a creature that isn't harmful to birds (squirrels, geckos, etc) get stuck in thorns or something, and your character would have to decide to save him, comfort him on his last moments or accept that he won't make it out alive. But, I might be adding useless points to the conversation, but about the checkpoints, maybe we could have a "guardian" to protect it and give a challenge to the player.
